A hand carved carnelian, depicting an evil eye to help ward off misfortune, is surrounded by an ouroboros. The symbol of ouroboros, a snake eating its own tail, has been said to represent wholeness and infinity. The detailed band, also hand carved, is two rattle snake tails that meet in the back and represent all that can sneak up on us in life and keep us from fortune and wholeness. The goal is to be aware of the things that may hurt us but not let it keep us from living a full and vibrant life.
Jewelry with the blacken finish will naturally polish overtime with regular wear and become an antiqued finish. (Don’t worry it will still be stunning!)
